About the Communications Management Center

The Communications Management Center (CMC) coordinates and supports national and regional child care training and technical assistance for State, Territorial, and Tribal child care administrators of the Child Care and Development Fund. Additionally, CMC supports national leadership forums on critical child care issues, such as child care for infants and toddlers and child care issues in the Hispanic community; the annual Child Care Bureau State Administrators Meeting; and regional Administration for Children and Families services throughout the United States and its Territories.

CMC also provides various types of electronic and print media including videotapes, CD-ROMs, brochures, posters, and newsletters. CMC team members provide graphics, editing, and publications development support. Included in the services that CMC provides is cutting-edge Web-based technology to assist with information dissemination and to support communications. This includes electronic conferencing; Web streaming; Web-based conference calls; online videoconferencing; and the creation and production of Web sites for conferencing, information, and materials distribution.
