The Child Care Bureau's (CCB) 2009 State and Territory Child Care Administrators Meeting:
New Opportunities and Possibilities for Child Care Leadership (STAM 2009) will take place
Tuesday, July 28, and Wednesday, July 29, 2009, at the Capital Hilton, 1001 16th Street, N.W., Washington, DC 20036.
A premeeting day for State and Territory Child Care administrators (S&TAs) and Federal staff members will take place on Monday, July 27, 2009.
Plenary and Breakout Sessions
This year's theme,
New Opportunities and Possibilities for Child Care Leadership, will include plenary and workshop sessions focusing on two themes:
- Subsidy: Practical hands-on tools and innovative strategies for effectively promoting and administering subsidy programs
- Quality: Methods to define, measure, and improve quality, including the use of Child Care and Development Fund quality funds to foster family self-sufficiency and child well-being and the latest research findings on quality measures and quality rating system evaluations

Partnerships that support coordination across programs, systems development, innovation, and seamless services to support children and families.
Who Should Attend?
This year's STAM is for the following people:
- S&TAs and their selected staff members (no more than four per State or Territory, including the S&TA or his or her designee) who have been selected by the administrator
- Federal staff members
- Child Care Technical Assistance Network (CCTAN) Partner staff members
- Selected invited speakers
- Child Care Policy Research Consortium researchers.
