From the Airport

The closest airports to the hotel are Reagan Washington National (National) Airport (approximately a 20-minute drive) and Dulles International (Dulles) Airport (approximately a 45-minute drive). Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall (BWI) Airport is a little longer drive (approximately a 1-hour drive).
Taxi

A taxi from National Airport to the Capital Hilton will cost approximately $15 each way, from Dulles Airport approximately $50, and from BWI Airport approximately $60. Taxis are available at each of these airports. Metrorail (Metro) service is available from National Airport to the Capital Hilton via the Blue Line. (See the Metro directions below.)

Shuttle Service

SuperShuttle provides transportation from all three airports to the hotel. You are not required to make a reservation prior to your arrival; however, it is strongly encouraged. A reservation is required for transportation from the hotel to both airports. Call (800) Blue Van ([800] 258-3826) or visit their Web site at www.supershuttle.com for reservations. The ticket counter at National is open from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m.; both Dulles and BWI ticket counters open at 6 a.m. and close at 2 a.m. If you arrive at the airport after 12 midnight and before 6 a.m., please call (703) 416-7885.
- From National Airport: The one-way cost is $14 per person. Collect your baggage and follow the signs for ground transportation outside the airport to the curb. Look for the SuperShuttle staff members wearing blue shirts with an insignia and tell them that you are going to the Capital Hilton at 1001 16th Street, N.W., in Washington, D.C.
- From Dulles Airport: The one-way cost is $29 per person. Collect your baggage, go to the lower level, and look for the SuperShuttle ticket counter located inside the building before the east or west exit. Tell the counter personnel that you are going to the Capital Hilton at the address provided in the first bullet above.
- From BWI Airport: The one-way cost is $37 per person. Collect your baggage and proceed to Pier A/B on the lower level. The ticket counters are located on the lower level between Southwest Airlines� luggage carousels 1�5. Tell the counter personnel that you are going to the Capital Hilton at the address provided in the first bullet above.

MetroRail Service

The Washington, D.C. area is serviced by the MetroRail (Metro) System.
The operating hours for the Metro begin at 5 a.m. on weekdays and 7 a.m. on weekends. The Metro closes at 12 midnight Sunday thru Thursday and at 3 a.m. on Friday and Saturday (i.e., Saturday and Sunday mornings, respectively). The base subway fare is $1.35 and increases during rush hour and for longer trips. Metro fare cards can be purchased at the vending machines located inside the stations.

Metro at National Airport

The only airport that has a Metro station is National Airport. The stop is adjacent to terminals B and C. Take the pedestrian walkway from the airport terminal�s concourse to the station. Take the blue line towards Largo, exit at the Farragut West or McPherson Square stations. See walking directions below.

Exit the station and travel east two blocks on K Street to 16th Street. The Capital Hilton is located on the northeast corner of 16th and K Streets.

Exit the station and travel east two blocks on I Street to 16th Street. Go north one and a half blocks on 16th Street. The Capital Hilton is located on the northeast corner of 16th and K Streets.

Driving

West�From Such Points as Dulles Airport and McLean and Tyson�s Corner, Virginia

Take Route 66 east, following the signs to Washington, D.C. Take the Theodore Roosevelt Bridge (Route 50), staying in the center lanes. Route 50 then becomes Constitution Avenue. Continue east on Constitution Avenue for about six blocks and turn left on 18th Street. Travel seven blocks to H Street and make a right. Go two blocks to 16th Street and make a left. The hotel is located two blocks further on the left.

Northwest�From Such Points as Frederick, Maryland, and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Take I-270 south to I-495 (the Beltway) and take I-495 toward Virginia. From the Beltway, exit onto the George Washington (GW) Parkway southeast toward D.C. Continue southeast on the GW Parkway for about 9 miles, exit onto the Theodore Roosevelt Bridge, and then follow the directions from points west.

South�From Such Points as Richmond and Fredericksburg, Virginia

Take I-95 north to I-395 north, following the signs for Washington, D.C., and Route 1 (14th Street Bridge). Cross the 14th Street Bridge over the Potomac staying in the left lanes. Take 14th Street north until you reach K Street (about 14 blocks). Make a left onto K Street, travel two blocks to 16th Street, and make a right. The Capital Hilton is located on the left.

North�From Such Points as New York, Philadelphia, and Baltimore

Take I-95 south following the signs to Washington, D.C. About 25 miles south of Baltimore, I-95 will merge with I-495 (the Beltway). Take I-495 west toward Virginia following the signs for College Park and Silver Spring. Get off on Exit 31 (Georgia Avenue/Silver Spring) and make a left onto Georgia Avenue southbound. Stay on Georgia Avenue for 8 miles. The Capital Hilton Hotel is located on 16th Street between L and K Streets on the left.

Cost is $16 per day. Hours are 7 a.m. � 11 p.m.
The Capital Hilton hotel offers valet parking only. The cost is $40 per day or for overnight guests (up to 24 hours), this includes unlimited in-and-out privileges.
